E-mail Archive

All of the messages from this mailing list are archived back to December 11, 1999. A web-based archive of these messages is being contructed in another section of the Civilization and Culture website, however you can request an index of the available archived messages from the mailing list system by sending a message to majordomo@chapters.marssociety.org with "index civ-culture" in the body of the message, without the quotation marks.

You will receive a directory listing which looks something like this:

>>>> index civ-culture

total 22

-rw-rw---- 1 majordom mars 3978 Nov 30 16:14 civ-culture.19991130

-rw-rw---- 1 majordom mars 7003 Dec 11 00:14 civ-culture.19991211

-rw-rw---- 1 majordom mars 7003 Dec 12 00:14 civ-culture.19991212

...and so on. The last part of each line is the filename, which is something like "civ-culture.19991211". The "19991211" stands for December 11, 1999. You can retrieve any day's archive file by sending an e-mail to lists.MarsSociety.org with the following command in the body of your email message:

get civ-culture civ-culture.19991211

where you replace the file name "19991211" with the name of the file you want.

These may be very large files, so make sure your ISP and mail client are prepared to receive them!
