Article 7: Amending Council Rules and/or Proposing Council Actions
Section 1: Motion Rules

Motions made by e-mail must be made in a dedicated message with the title 'Motion: [descriptive title of motion]'. All motions are made to the Chapter's Council as a whole. Motions must be relevant to an item on a monthly agenda (see article 6) for at least a week unless it concerns only internal matters of Chapter's Council. A motion may include optional phrasing for voting provided the options are clearly phrased.

Subsequent voting options if the motion is seconded will include either accept or specific wording options and both the reject and abstain options. In a multiple choice motion the option other than reject or abstain with the most votes wins unless the reject option gets more votes than all the affirmative choices.
