Mars Society Canada - Toronto Chapter

Toronto Chapter

Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 3 April 2003, at 1930 hours (7:30 PM).

Canadian Mars exploration plans effectively cancelled

As recently reported in SpaceRef, the federal government has denied the CSA any of the necessary funding for Canadian participation in NASA's 2009 Mars landing mission - easily the most ambitious mission to the Red Planet in over 30 years, if not all history. This nation's participation was to have been considerable, indeed, essential to the mission's very success. Please join us as we discuss this latest blow to Canadian space exploration, and pride.

This meeting will take place at the Earth Sciences Building, University of Toronto, 22 Russel Street (College & Spadina), Room 2093.
