Mars Express
orbiter and the
Beagle 2 lander arrived at Mars. Having seperated five days earlier from the
Mars Express (which successfully went into orbit around Mars), the Beagle 2
landed on the Martian surface, but has not been able to communicate back to Earth. |

Mars Society - San Diego chapter became the official MDRS
Mission Support organization for four weeks, supporting MDRS Crews 20 & 21 of the
MDRS - Mars Desert Research Station
project. TMS-SD will provide MDRS Mission Support
through January 16. |

The Mars Society's Mars Analog Research Station project, the
MDRS - Mars Desert Research Station
activated with Crew #20 for the 3rd Season through May 2004. Every two weeks, a
crew of 6 enters the simulation to learn how to live and work on the Red Planet. |

Mars Desert Research Station in Utah for a pre-season Maintenance Mission, which
included improving and stocking the science lab, preparing the Hab for occupation, as well
as producing instructional training videos for the MDRS Crews. The
MDRS Hab will activate in December 2003. Here are some
