Council Rules and/or Proposing Council Actions
Section 5: Amending The
Bylaws
Changes to
these bylaws must be made and seconded in the same way as other motions. Votes
shall be held open for one week. A 60% majority of votes cast with at least 35%
of the council voting will be required for changes to the bylaws to pass. If
the change effects members outside of the council, it must also be approved by
the membership as a whole. The membership vote will be held for 2 weeks rather
than one, and will also require a 60% majority of votes cast with at least 35%
of the members voting for changes to the bylaws to pass.
